Staying Power: Photographs of Black British Experience 1950s-1990s is a project to increase the number of black British photographers and images of black Britain in the V&A collection. It aims to raise awareness of the contribution of black Britons to British culture and society, as well as to the art of photography.

Guerrilla Girls

In 1985, a group of New York-based women artists banded together to protest the rampant discrimination in a male curated, male-centric MoMA show (where out of the 169 artists represented, only 13 were female). Out of that spirit, the highly vocal, social-crime-fighting, vigilante, primate-masked, anonymous, but ever watchful (and score-keeping) feminist collective the Guerrilla Girls was born.

Objectiu BCN. Retratem la ciutat 2014-2015

OBJETIVO►BCN ha sido un proyecto de fotografía documental comisariado por Samuel Aranda, fotógrafo de The New York Timesy ganador del Premio World Press Photo 2012. El objetivo del proyecto ha sido crear un relato visual colectivo a través de 200 miradas de la ciudad.

Después de meses de trabajo junto a profesionales de reconocida trayectoria, Abbas • David Airob • Toni Amengual • Samuel Aranda • Walter Astrada • Juan Manuel Castro Prieto • Cristina García Rodero • Joan Guerrero • Fernando Moleres • Emilio Morenatti • Navia • Txema Salvans • Moises Saman • Carmen Secanella, La Virreina Centre de la Imatge expone una selección de las fotografías realizadas por los participantes.

Esta exposición se complementa con la presentación de varias muestras en los 12 centros cívicos participantes y con una exposición de fotografías en distintas estaciones del metro de Barcelona.

Grore Images

Grore Images est une agence de photographies trouvées, une à une, par hasard, sur la voie publique et conservées ainsi, sans retouches. Près de 3 000 images mises en ligne sont proposées pour tous les usages classiques : illustration, communication, exposition. Avec la publication (Éditions ABM) du premier tome de ce catalogue (EBook), les images du fonds, légendées par Raya Lindberg, auteur dramatique, acquièrent une nouvelle dimension.
Philippe Mairesse, artiste, directeur de Grore Images, et Guillaume Marion, choriste, invitent les visiteurs à vivre au BAL une expérience visuelle et sonore : ne pas croire savoir ce qui vaut la peine d’être regardé. La projection et la performance chantée seront suivies d’une e-signature au BAL BOOKS (chaque visiteur est invité à apporter une clé usb).
